Tough times. Unfortunate, but I know those who can get there will have an excellent time.

I hope there are some pics and vids too.

Early reports are that a good time is being had by all, be it a small goup... times are tough all round.

Yup, we had a cancellation or two for health reasons, and one for swine flu vaccinations. Giving them, not getting them, that is.
Still, much fun and music is being had, with Dave Goulder regaling us with excellence as usual.
Last weekend in October next year again. Put it in your diaries NOW.
Toying with the idea of having one special [paid] guest next year, any thoughts on that?

John

I've marked it on my calendar and keeping my fingers crossed. Scotland is one of my favorite places in the whole world and I'd loved to come.

Get Dougie Maclean to do some "outreach" from his Perthshire Amber Festival! Or pay Dave Goulder!

Dougie's minimum fee was quoted to me 6 years ago as £2K...so I guess that's a non-starter!

Why pay him when I get him for free?
I was really thinking of someone I didn't sing with every Wednesday ;)
I will have a chat with my friend Frank Bechhofer, and see who will be around then.

Tattie.saltfish don't do much if anything now as Saltfish.....they are now "The chair" and brilliant to (They have several incarnations). They (The Chair) are at Celtic connections again this year. I've a real longing to get down to the gather. I've been to many others but since living on Orkney funds have been hard won and in short supply. We had hoped to be in the Lossiemouth area by this time when it would have been easier. I read these gather threads every year, so close, but also so far away.
