Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: Paul Burke Date: 17 Dec 10 - 07:41 PM I happen to know that Spaw was restored in 1849- I've got the photograph to prove it (available on demand)- so he should be ready for another lick of paint now. Someone will cure the old bugger. |

Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: Rapparee Date: 17 Dec 10 - 10:39 PM My wife just finished a two hour nosebleed (no, I didn't hit her, it's an old baseball injury, it really is!). I do NOT want to have to deal with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named back in Ohio. I strongly urge him to knock it off; he can get plenty of attention in other ways. |
Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: katlaughing Date: 17 Dec 10 - 10:58 PM LOL, that's kind of what Connie said to him. He likes the slipper socks they pass out in hospital. She'd gotten him some for Christmas. She told him he didn't need to go to such extremes to get a new pair. Then she asked him if it was an "only child" thing...just have to be the center of attention!:-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: Ebbie Date: 17 Dec 10 - 11:02 PM I know what the trouble is: barometric pressure. As the weather in Ohio clears and calms so will Pat. You heard it here first. Grab the barometer and give it a shake, Spaw. |
Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: Amergin Date: 17 Dec 10 - 11:02 PM Spaws one of my favourites around here....when I am feeling for the need to laugh I just look up one of his posts and I get my fix. It's a shame that he's had so many serious problems over the years. I hope you get better soon, Pat. We need ya back here to put things into proper perspective. |
Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: olddude Date: 17 Dec 10 - 11:11 PM You know I love you my friend. You are scaring me! I call ya and talk to you and Karen and we joke and laugh and a couple of weeks later I read this stuff. Now knock it off - don't make me come over there and kick ya one. If you or Karen needs anything at all you call, you have my cell. you are in my prayers |

Hey 'Spaaaaawww...Get, get, get welllll. Yap yap yap yap yap yap." Don't look at me. That's what they're saying right now. Listen: can't you hear 'em? Bright moon tonight, and cold. "Clot, clot, darn 'Spaw" Wm. Shakespeare, 'Macbeth' So I can't sleep. I guess Pat had better pull himself together. Maeve |

Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: katlaughing Date: 18 Dec 10 - 04:37 AM Lookit that, Spawdarlin'...you've even roused folks we don't see much any more! Heya, BlueJay!! Okay, Spaw, that's enough, honest...it's good to see them and all, but you don't need to get their attention this way!! |
Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: Hollowfox Date: 18 Dec 10 - 08:02 AM Hey, Spaw - as the newest member of the Mudcat Coumadin Club, can I take your turn on nosebleed shift and let you go home this time? Or, I could sic Amy on you. You saw her sweet, quiet, nice to pets and her mother side, but she can be terrifying. She narrows her eyes like Lee Van Cleef in a spagetti western, raises her eyebrows, and then she'd face down a mountain lion with a buggy whip and a small smile. Love to the family, and the $#@!-reduction candles continue, of course. |

Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: katlaughing Date: 18 Dec 10 - 11:50 AM Just spoke with Karen who spent the night at Connie and Wayne's. He had a rough time in surgery. He had been in huge waves of pain from the haematoma and when they went in there, they took out a litre of blood from both sides of his belly. They've been having trouble with his blood pressure because of his haemoglobin, so they gave him two units before surgery, during surgery and after surgery. He spiked a fever last night and there is a bit of pneumonia in the upper lobe of his lung, left side, I think. He is on a vent, but they are starting to wean him off of that. He is in ICU. I forgot to ask about cards, but will send Connie and email and ask. Despite all of that, Karen sounded very upbeat, though tired, and Connie did, too. Karen is going to go see him, soon, and then will go home for the first time in a couple of days where she will spend the night. She hasn't seen the boys in a couple of days and is looking forward to it. Please keep sending your best, mostest powerfull Mudcat mojo and let's push him over the hump (oh, that's a camel, not an elephant, huh? Well, let's just give him a huge lift, what say you?!) luvyakat |
Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: Rapparee Date: 18 Dec 10 - 11:57 AM I don't think he's in any condition for humping right now. He's got to get a lot better for that sort of thing. So, he's got to get better. That there is known as "logic." |

Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: gnu Date: 18 Dec 10 - 01:05 PM I am having a hard time to stay at "level CRAP". Any more of this, Spaw, and I am skipping levels damn AND son-of-a-pup! You don't wanna make a half-grown man cry do ya? |
Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: Rapparee Date: 18 Dec 10 - 01:25 PM This is a helluva way to get out of decorating the tree. If you don't want to do it, just say something and someone else will do it. Or just get one already decorated. (I never take mine down.) |
Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw needs lots of good thoughts etc. From: gnu Date: 18 Dec 10 - 01:30 PM The only way to decorate the tree is by sitting in the recliner with some ales and telling the wife where to put this and that. You are welcome in advance. |
