Well, that doesn't surprise me at all - you definitely had a deep and meaningful case of harplust when I saw you. I have to warn you, it's like TimTams, you can't stop at just one.

Helen

...Happy belated Birthday, Alison! The Florida Folk Festival kept me hopping all weekend and then I tripped out to Monticello to meet Allan C. and Bill Sables! I sunk into bed at 10 pm! Unusual for me! HOWEVER....I have enough lime jello powder (stolen from the Neil Young Center Kitchen!!!) to fill Dr. Peterson's hot tub. We'll charge five bucks admission and make a fortune!!! Love ya Abby

More belated hugs & kisses from Tallahassee. Hope there was somebody near to make you an "Ulster Fry" to start your day.

Dear alison,

Sorry I'm jumping on the birthday wagon very late here (the cable modem has been down for days) -- However, very many happy returns for your birthday, and may your candles burn forever (just not at both ends, please)!!

All the best, Áine

So, Alison, tell us more about your harp. Can you play Rosbif on it yet? (Bet you can). How many strings, what does it look like, where are the pix on bbc's page??? (nag, nag, nag ;-) )

It's only a little one 17 strings..... but yes it can play Rosbif... I gave it a go on hearme the other night... it is great for playing tunes... lovely with a guitar accompaniment...... think I'll stick a strap on it... it's small enough to carry about and play on stage.... yet another instrument to carry about ...*grin*

but my hubby is talking about building a 29 string one.....

slainte

alison
