Subject: RE: Folklore: All About the Claddagh Ring From: Thompson Date: 13 Nov 16 - 08:27 PM To tell the gods' honest truth, I've never heard any of this stuff about there being different coded meanings to how to wear the Claddagh ring, and suspect they're a makey-uppy by jewellers trying to make sales. I'd instinctively wear it with the point of the heart pointing to my heart, and assume this is how I've unconsciously seen it all my life in Ireland… but maybe my mind is equally making this up. For curiosity, I googled a few Irish actors wearing Claddagh rings, and this seems to be the way they all wear it all right. |
