Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: s6k Date: 23 Feb 04 - 04:37 AM ull has just this morning been snowed over. it has been bloody cold recently, maybe someone is controlling the weather to try and kill the inhabitants. This is a much more ingeneous method than using brute force, as you would certainly lose against the might of Oggy Park and Bransholme, etc. However, please not Mr.Weather Man, there are innocent bystanders in Ull too, who dont deserve death. Some of us are on your side !! So, stop killing us by death from cold weather! we will sort the problem from within |
Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: Beardy Date: 23 Feb 04 - 05:45 AM If any intrepid persons should be in the 'Ull area on Saturday 28th you could do better than enjoy a walk around the historic Old Town hostelries on an informative pub crawl. Full details available later. Stewart |
Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: GUEST,Les and Maggie in Thailand Date: 23 Feb 04 - 06:29 AM We might come. The 18 hour travel time would certainly be worth it if the Oberon's open. |

Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: GUEST Date: 24 Feb 04 - 04:50 PM Lots of 'Ull tonight on a Beautiful South documenatry, showing their first tour with Paul on the wagon. Think they said they were in a pub called The Grafton, or maybe it was in Grafton st. So, to those of you in the know........are they all round good guys? Tread easy here please, I have got a corker of a cold and don't feel up to having any illusions shattered. |
Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Date: 24 Feb 04 - 06:28 PM Yes, they are good guys, the Pub is The Grafton [on Grafton Street], Paul is still off the drink, he used to live opposite me, but now lives in Manchester, though he regulary pops back to hull for visits. |
Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: GUEST Date: 24 Feb 04 - 06:54 PM Thanks for that jOhn. They showed his old house I think, it was in a road a bit like Corrie, where the doors go straight onto the street. Good to know they aren't a bunch of starstruck gits. I can have my last lemsip of the night now and rest easy. |
Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Date: 24 Feb 04 - 07:10 PM The road they showed was Grafton Street, Paul lived on Marlborough Avenue. |
Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: GUEST Date: 24 Feb 04 - 07:17 PM Oh right, I knew I heard a couple of Graftons in there somewhere. But when I did, I just kept thinking of Dublin, and didn't pay attention. |
Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: Sweetfia Date: 25 Feb 04 - 07:33 AM Some of the houses on Marlb. Ave are really nice. Most of them are huge! I forget the period of history in which most of them where built... |

Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: s6k Date: 27 Feb 04 - 10:42 AM to be or not to be, THAT, is the question |
Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: s6k Date: 01 Mar 04 - 04:24 AM But is there an answer |
Subject: RE: BS: 'Ull From: s6k Date: 05 Mar 04 - 06:42 AM Latest escapade in Ull..... walking down the street casually, a "townie" approached a friend and asked if he had a "light" (for his cigarette) When he said no, the townie asked him if he wanted "banging!!!" My friend replied with "Im not a balloon you damn hooligan" and then threw empty can of coke at him. It was a step forward in the war against townies |
