Newtone strings are made not far from where I live. Malcolm is a great maker, but customer service can be iffy (he doesn't always return calls, as it's a small operation.) A dealer in the USA is Strings and Beyond . Nice people to do business with, fast and reliable. (I get my strings shipped to the UK from there). I use Newtones on ball-end mandolins (especially the Wailing Resonator) and mandocello. Great strings that last somewhere between normal strings and elixirs. McGrath of Harlow; re Angelica guitars; I've got one! It's the guitar my wife had as a student in the early 70s. Took me a while to get the action playable, as the neck had a bend in it, but it plays and sounds fine now. Good 'beater' guitar. Tim
