Hi Steve and Anne. I'll be happy to have you back. Do please avoid the Olympics though. Sport is Folk's worst enemy.

Really enjoyed meeting you all and particularly enjoyed Anne's singing of Jean Ritchie's mining disaster song.

Heathrow is open, our flight is on time, and we are heading back to New York this afternoon. We shall return to the UK, but not during the Olympics.

Thanks again to everyone who made our Awesome English Adventure so delightful.

--- Steve

Greetings:

Our 2010 Awesome English Adventure is now over and we are all back in our respective homes. It's 6:22 in the morning New York Time, 11:22 London time, and Marilyn and I are still somewhere in-between with lots of things to do today. The birds are chirping outside our window. What a wonderfully welcoming sound, even if it means that the season has once again arrived for our driveway to be covered in their droppings!

Micca,

Thanks for posting these pictures, and thanks again for singing The Hash My Father Scored. It is a true classic.

Arrived home safely, and catching up on e mail, and household chores. Thanks again to everyone who made our UK trip so enjoyable. Thanks, also for the pictures of the Black Lion session. I have some pictures too. I'll see if I can figure out how to post them.

And thanks for the link to the Jean Ritchie YouTube of Black Waters. It shows the destruction first hand.

Greetings again from New York!

Marilyn and I still have our Oyster Cards, our UK mobile phones, £430 in British currency, a cousin who lives in Finsbury Park, and a craving for sandwiches from Tesco, as well as friends in the London folk community too numerous to mention, The bottom lines is we will be back! I presume Anne and her hubby will return as well. Please figure that will be in about 18 to 24 months.

--- Steve
