Mary, there is LOTS more in the works, but it is all in a definitely preliminary stage right now. We will be meeting very soon to sketch out a list of possible workshops and talk about whom to invite as special guests (there is a much-too-long list of potential guests at this point). It sounds like we'll get a really good crowd (um, by that I mean quantity, not necessarily quality... heh, heh...) this year, so I predict a fantastically splendid weekend. Not that we've ever had a bad one in forty-some years! Y'all come!

Some of you cross-ponders, and others, might want to think about Carle and Andrew's lead and come over a week early. That way you can take in    The Portsmouth (NH) Maritine Folk Festival.

It's a beautiful time of year, hotel rooms are less dear, as is the price of lobster. We've assembled a crew of many of the finest maritime singers imaginable. And the festival is free.

I'll be at both places but not at the same time.

Tom I think that's a month early. The end of Sept & the end of Oct.
But I sure we can handle any mudcatters that can tolerate the Northeast for that long. We won't get snow till March.

We're coming, and would love to register. Howsomever, the FSGW page still has the 2007 registration blank at the "get your snail mail form here" link and there is no on-line registration (even though the page says there is). FSGW folks - can this get fixed?

Art..We 'locals' never expect registration forms to show up before mid-Summer....we have been trying to increase lead time now that it has become an international event. Look for new information soon...(Charlie Baum will read this and no doubt be galvanized into exuberant action...☺)

Bill, I expect that the changes in the exchange rate will help those from the UK, at least a little, but I'd guess our drive East will cost about twice what it did in 2006.

Dollar / pound rate today was $1.97 , and we are paying around £1.20 a litre for unleaded which is nearly $10 per US Gallon !!

I'm guessing that anyone thinking of flying should commit and book flights now, as air fares are only going to go higher.

For those of us who have frequent flyer miles that we are not likely to use, do they have to be used by the person who accumulates them, or can that person use them to book a flight for some one else, if we were inclined to donate them so some one could attend the Getaway?
