I haven't read these versions before, and I've read a lot of versions of "Brickwall Waterfall".

For what it's worth, "Brickwall Waterfall" appears to be performed while chanting partner handclaps. A version of this taunting rhyme was featured in the 2003 American movie Dickie Roberts, Former Child Star.. That at least partly explans why "Brick Wall Waterfall" seems to be so widely known and so popular among children in the USA and in some other English speaking nations.

"Totally for sure" is featured in the popular 2000 Bring It On cheerleader movie. That cheer is a putdown of female cheerleaders who use Valley Girl language lingo and are much more interested in the way they look than in the football game's score.

There are at least three other Bring It On movies. The first movie in the series is by far the most popular (and, in my opinion, the best movie of the series). The second most popular movie of that series is the third one, Bring It On-All Or Nothing that
co-stars R&B singing star Beyonce's younger sister. In my opinion, these two "teenager" cheerleader movies have had a tremendous impace on the textual style of English language (children's)cheerleader cheers.

I've been told (by contributors to my Cocojams.com website) that "Brickwall Waterfall" was also featured in one of the Bring It On movies, but I'm not sure which one.

See Cocojams- Cheerleading Cheers for a number of examples of "Totally for sure" which is listed under the name "Like Totally For Sure". There are also a lot of "Brickwall Waterfall" examples in that website's Cheerleader cheer section and in that website's SchoolYard Taunting rhymes section. Check them out!

Brick wall Water fall is usually done as a two (or maybe three or four) person handclap rhyme. It's recited in at least one movie that I'm aware of though I've been told that it also is in one "Bring It On" cheerleader movie (but which one of these movies?).

I'd love to know if this is how the Guests who posted here learned this rhyme.

I've been told repeatedly that "Totally for Sure/I just got a manicure" rhyme is a part of the Bring It On" movies. It's interesting to see them combined,but maybe they were combined in the movie?

I'd appreciate some info. I know I should just rent the "Bring It On" movies and see for myself, but I really don't want to rent all of these movies to find out.

Okay, so I heard my 6 year old daughter reciting parts of this last night. I thought it was some modern pop song or something, I'm surprised to find that it's a folk rhyme. She would have learned it at school, as we don't listen to pop radio very much, and I've never seen it in any of the movies she's watched here.

Anyway, she didn't recite the whole thing, but she said a few lines:

"BOOM! with an attitu-ude"

And this rather interesting variation:

"Reeses pieces, Mac and Cheesy."

Note that Mac and Cheesy refers to Macaroni and Cheese, which is a quite popular dish among U.S. children (and parents). Kraft is the largest producer of the 'instant' version, although most people I know around her make it homemade.

This is similar to a rhyme she came home with last year, or maybe the year before (although that would have been pre-school): "Easy, Peasey, Mac and Cheesy." Which brings me back to the Pease Porridge rhyme mentioned above, but I think that might be a coincidence. "Easy Peasey" comes from my childhood at least, as rhyming slang for something that's easy to do.

Although I don't see in this thread if it's been cited to earlier than Dickie Roberts, that movie isn't very well known, and it's PG-13 so not for kids. I doubt that very many of the kids in my daughter's class have seen it. I suppose that hasn't stopped things from getting into children's folklore before though (remembering all of the Nightmare on Elm Street stuff from my childhood).

Anyway, demographics:
My daughter is 6 years old and goes to a small Catholic school in a rural unincorporated community east of Lake Winnebago.
