A teacher in rural Alaska needs to know the composer, publisher, and publication date of sheet music for a song entitled Hullabaloo. This is one of the requirements to qualify an entry in the Alaska speech/debate competition.

So far, I've found Hullabaloo-Belay, as sung by Burl Ives, which isn't it. I've also found Holiday Happenin' Hullabaloo, but haven't managed to see the lyrics to be able to ask if this sing is the right one. And I've also found a third Hullabaloo, recorded on the Victor label on July 30, 1928 by (Bill) McKinney's Cotton Pickers. Again, if there are lyrics, I haven't been able to find them.

Can anyone supply lyrics? or sheet music? or a source that would provide composer/lyricist, publisher and publication date? Many TIA for any help. Felicia

Felicia, if you are serious about this request, please post it with a different dateline (and if you learned about the contest April 1, please recheck with your informant).

Wow, even though I didn't buy the "mudcat closing" for a minute (too cynical I guess) this one seems legit to me. Guess invoking McKinney's Cotton Pickers convinced me. I'm prepared to be fooled though!
