Subject: RE: What's on in Dublin? From: Declan Date: 15 Apr 07 - 02:36 PM Howth singing circle meets on the First Thursday of each Month in the Sea Angling Club in Howth (about 10 miles north of the city, and a place worth a visit). From your dates you should be here for the session on 3rd May. The venue is on the pier neartest the Dart (Railway) station and things kick off about 9 ish. All singers are welcome, if you talk to the people in the chair on the night and let them know you sing, they'll call on you at some stage during the night. There's usually a theme for each night, but any song is welcome. I've missed the last couple of weeks, so I don't know this months theme. |

Subject: What's on in Dublin? From: Chris Amos Date: 15 Apr 07 - 02:12 PM Hi, I am being sent to Dublin by the day job between the 26th of April and the 4th of May, (yippee!), and wondered where the song sessions take place, ones that wouldn't mind a English trad singer contributing a song or two. I have searched the forum and there is nothing recent there discussing Dublin venues so it seemed worth starting a new thread. Chris |
