Subject: RE: Chords Req:Laddie, lie near me From: leeneia Date: 17 Mar 16 - 08:31 AM It's been 17 years since the chords were requested, but maybe a new person will want to play this. I couldn't make sense of the music in the DT, so I went to the abc site and searched: http://abcnotation.com/searchTunes?q=&f=c&o=a&s=0 I used the fifth tune they came up with, because it seemed clear and logical. It's in Dm. Here's what you do: If the measure has D F A, use Dm A C# calls for an A chord. G and B-flat notes (the downward runs) call for Gm. The first measure of the B part calls for a C chord. It's a demanding song with a big range. |

Subject: CHORDS REQ:Laddie, lie near me From: Big Mick Date: 02 Apr 99 - 07:06 PM Hi folks, I need a hand. My daughter phoned me this evening and would like to sing this song with me at my next gig and asked me to accompany her on guitar. She heard it on the Heartbeat of the Celts CD. I know I have heard it before somewhere, but it escapes me just now where. I am going away for a few days and coming back to a very hectic week. I have the lyrics, pulled them from the DT. Can someone help me with the chords or music. I would be greatful and it would save me some time. All the best, Mick |
