Lisa Knapp (England)
Gwenan Gibbard (Wales)
Jenna Reid (Scotland)

Three concerts in one, this evening at the Electric Theatre in Guildford brings together performers from the folk traditions of Wales, Scotland and England, highlighting the breadth of traditional culture and contemporary folk music in Britain.

Lisa Knapp's re-workings of folk song interspersed with her own writing has put her right at the front of the English nu-folk scene while remaining firmly rooted in the English tradition.

Shetland fiddler Jenna Reid was recently judged Best Newcomer at the Scotish Tradition Awards and has previously been a winner of the Shetland Young Fiddler of the Year Competition.

Gwenan Gibbard has won many national harp and singing competitions in Wales, plus the Pan-Celtic Harp contest, with her refreshing arrangements of dance tunes and performance of cerdd dant or penillion singing - the ancient Welsh tradition of poetry singing to the accompaniment of the harp.

DOORS OPEN 7.30PM - CONCERT STARTS 8.00PM
Admission £12.50 (£14.50 on the day)

Tickets available from the Box Office for the theatre on 01483 444789
