Ah, I remember this when it was Weymouth Folk day and we headlined Jake Thackery.

Sadly, I can't be there, someone give the Black Dog a pat for me and pay my respects to the Brewery - it was a pint of John Devenish that turned me from a cider drinker to a beer drinker way back in 1982. Thanks for that, Alex.

I shall be there too but then I do live there and my better half is chair of the commitee (did I spell that right). I shall be holding a Bodhran workshop on Saturday and I am also driving the sound desk for the busking session, at least part of the time, so if anyone would care to prise a foaming pint into my shakey hands I will ensure that they get good sound.

yeh. I'll be there for the fresh air and fun, and to see No Fixed Abode and Wizz Jones - possibly the only festival where the pea fritters and whelks are the local delicacy.

What do you have to do to get a spot on the stage in the Brewers Quay? I dropped into the Kings Arms and did a couple of songs, but it was all a bit quiet.

Its about the third time I've been - although it was in the pavillion last time. Does anybody have news of the guy who edits Southern Tap magazine? didn't see him around this year? hope he's okay!

Thanks to all for making my first Wessex so enjoyable. The open sessions in the Sailors Return were good fun, and my 15 minute Showcase spot on Sunday at the Warehouse Theatre was a great experience.

Loved seeing Wiz Jones and John Conolly again, both brilliant. Other people I really enjoyed seeing:- Triskele, Bag of Rats, North South Collide, and the showstoppers for me No Fixed Abode, what talent.

Hope to see you next year.
