Stunned! I sat back and couldn't believe it.
We just happened to catch this last night on American Idol. It was almost like he was there! Brought tears to my eyes!

I don't watch American Idol, but I did see a few clips of this act on the news, and it was amazing indeed! Can't imagine how they managed to do it so seamlessly.

OK "how'd they do that"?
I saw a three dimensional Elvis walk out and stand with Celine doing the duet.
Did the stage have a blue screen the live audience saw while we saw a digital Elvis?
I found a google reference to a 1968 performance that was used.

On American Idol Tuesday night there was a duet with Celine Dion and Elvis, singing "If I Can Dream". If not for ones knowledge that the big fella is dead, The King walked out on stage and sang for the first time is 30 years.

"Elvis Is Alive And Well" (Jack Hudson - UK songwriter and singer) is a great song from a brilliant album of the same name. Maybe Jack knew something no-one else did when he wrote the song?

FYI.
Apparently the song was written about 24hrs before taping started on the 68 Comeback Special. It was written with regards to Dr Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have A Dream" speach.

I wish they had used the same technology when they revisited the Aloha from Hawaii concert.

FOr thoseo of you just being introduced to Elvis through this now, I'd go out and buy his records as he has the most magical voice of any singer in history! Introduce your kids to Elvis; your friends, family, relatives etc. He is a phenomenon that should not go unnoticed in one's lifetime. And if that does happen, it is an absolute shame. As with Elvis, singing so many different variety of songs, so, so well, there is truly something for everybody!!!

An Elvis impersonator walked on stage with Celine and stood on stage the whole time. However, when we see Elvis singing it's a hologram from Elvis' 1968 comeback special. When they briefly show Elvis from the back, it's the impersonator.

The quality is better on ITunes, but it costs a $1.99.   I downloaded it just to see the best quality picture available. I'm still impressed!
