Hi,
For those of you who didn't know - and I was one of them until a couple of weeks ago! Today, 29th March (well there's half an hour left here!)In The UK is Nationa Harp Day. To celebrate he occasion, our ensemble, Harpers Bizarre, went to The Minack Theratre and played two one hour concerts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. WOW! What an amazing venue, an open air amphitheatre cut out of the side of a cliff face! Todays weather couldn't have been better, hot but breezy and I think it is a day I'll long remember - Hope the audience feel the same way!
take a peek here for some piccies of the event:

Piccies of harps at The Minack

Cheers, Lucy

One of the regulars at my local is learning the harp (hardly unusual: this IS Wales) so she gave us a few tunes last night. I don't know - and I'm not asking - if the landlord had a Temp. Event Notice for it.

Anyway, she's improved greatly since her last pub recital, which was a relief and eventual source of enjoyment to us all!

Well done, Lucy. Minack is amazing place to play. We did the 'To Be A Cornishman' son et Lumiere there a few years ago and as Jon's The Last Time was playing, the Newlyn fishing fleet crossed the moonlight on the sea. Amazing...
