Peter, are there any pictures around of the Thayer in her
current state? Does she have her sticks? Are the galley and
the cabins back together? How about the donkey engine? Did
they re-install that, perhaps in working order?

Hi, Barry -

I'll be at this one. It's the June sing I won't be working. I'm eager to hear or see the addditional verses. There's still alot of work to be done on the Thayer, though she's back after a 3-year restoratiuon, so it will be months before the sings are back aboard. No idea yet just how many months.

I'll be there later in the evening, actually as early as possible. Shame you won't be there Peter, I found another traditional verse (from Dahlov Ipcar, Charlie's mom) for "Hard Times in Ol Virginia" & added a couple verses to "London Julie". Does Ed Silverman(sp?) still go there, love to hear his "Julie London".

I hear the CA Thayer is back in the water, will the sing be sung on her?

The next chantey sing aboard a floating historic vessel will be this Saturday, May 5, 8pm-midnight. Bring a mug for hot, non-alcoholic drinks served from the galley. Free, but reservations required.
