Having seen a number of notes in various threads about the yeoman job that Max, Joe and the clones do in keeping this place open, and having also seen some comments about how the 'Cat is easier to use and less cluttered than other websites, I was reminded that Max runs this place out of his own pocket and I hadn't done my part to support it lately. So...I did, and I invite you all to do so as well.

The support link is on the home page, which many of us rarely visit, so there is an easy blue clicky for it. So - the cost of the beer you'd drink at a typical session? The price of a couple of CDs or a new set of strings? Most of us can afford it.

Thanks for reminding us of this Art!! I'm thankful that we've got the 'Friends of MudCat' running again over this side of the pond and I send a monthly pittance through the banks, every little helps!

Any deletions take place in North America. Or maybe England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Iceland, China, South America, Italy, New Zealand, Germany, Canada, Antarctica, or anyplace else on the planet you'd like to choose. We have members (thus perhaps clones) in all those places.

I get quite a lot from Amazon but have never managed to get the UK bit up for m'cat support only the US. Can someone tell me how to do it, please?

Guru, thanks but it doesn't tell me how, if I buy from Amazon in UK, I can get the commission sent to mudcat. If you follow the clicky on the top to amazon it only lets you into the USA branch. Joe ~ any chance we can have it extended to UK?

How exactly does the Amazon thing work? I have some cds that I'll be ordering soon for a friend and I'd like to be certain that the Mudcat Cafe is able to get whatever benefit comes via ordering through their link. I'm not certain if Camsco has the same recordings or I'd order it from them. Does Camsco only specialize in Folk stuff or can you get anything from them?

As far as I know, if you (1) go to Amazon through the Mudcat portal and (2) buy something from them, the 'Cat gets some kind of micro-percentage. On the other hand, I think that Dick can get just about anything, but I don't have any idea what his turn-around time is for something he doesn't ordinarily stock. Best to ask him directly, and his e-mail is "[e-mail]".

The idea that mudcat can benefit , even if it is a micro portion, from us using a specific link to buy things we were going to buy anyway, I thought was a good one. Unfortunately I too have so far been unable to work out how to buy things from amazon in the UK & have mudcat benefit. Help
