I'll be in Seattle Thursday May 24 through Tuesday morning May 29...sans instruments but also sans 7-year-old, so I can stay up late and sing.

I'm wondering who else plans to attend -- and is there ever a Mudgather in connection with the festival?

I'll be there..probably just Saturday and Sunday. I'd love to meet up with you although I have to say right up front I can't stay too long with any one person at Folklife..it is my one chance a year to catch up with people so I am buzz buzz buzz all the time... I will probably have a cell phone with me which was supposed to be so simple I could master it but perhaps not...it really wants me to play video games instead of calling people...

Anyway, my first suggestion is to volunteer because that will get you a button whcih at least used to get you into the participants party and the beer place where there are usually jams etc. and it would be a good place to meet...also the schedule is now available to print out..one interesting thing this year I want to do is a lullaby recording project.

Anyway, more later...I am sure there will be a number of us...For sure on Saturday I will be at the Broadside concert I think at 1 pm mg

For the first time, I am actually responsible for an item in the program, a musical item no less. An Esperanto sing-along. Here's the

Tentative playbill
Kantu Seatlo! – Kantu Kanade: Across the 49th in Esperanto

The music will be largely led by the Mel/Munro Duo, a couple of Seattle singers (Verne Eke and Reiff Olsen) who have several of these in their regular repertoire as they work the retirement/Oddfellows circuits. I hope the Polish came out right; encoding it took a dozen "Previews" ;-)...

Hope to see some Mudcatters there.
