Anyone heard it/bought it yet? You can hear some of the tracks here:

'Jack Common's Anthem' Myspace Page

This is the information on the making of Jez's new CD, which Steve Knightley and Phil Beer, from Show of Hands, produced.

We've saw Jez with The Bad Pennies, last year and were blown away by his songs. He wrote many of the songs for the new Radio Ballads too.

I heard him recently, wirth just Kate Bramley accompanying him, and bought his double CD 'Live at the Davy Lamp'. It's causing me serious problems as some of the songs are indeed earworms. I'm looking forward to the new album.

The man's a genius. Why he constantly gets ignored for the Folk Awards (in whatever context) is totally unfathomable. No justice, is there?

I don't think he is often in Somerset but he will be on June 8th, with the Bad Pennies, at The Old Down Acoustic Club at the Kings Arms in Litton, so I'm looking forward to seeing them there, for the first time.

(Jez's gig page currently says it is in "Emborough"; that's where the club was originally, at the Old Down pub there, but it moved venue without changing its name... it's only 2-3 miles away but still... narrow country lanes and all, can cause confusion. I just dropped a note to Jez Lowe's sitemaster.)
