Does Lincoln club always clash, then? I've just seen the thread about John playing. I thought the Lincoln club hadn't been running and had only recently started up again? If so, what a shame they decided to do it the same night as Faldingworth which is quite near! I appreciate that there are several clubs in the area but it seems such a pity. I expect they had to work around other clubs, also nearby, but it would be so much nicer to have the choice of both gigs this next week.
We will be there, (Faldingworth!) anyway, Villan :-)

Lincoln FC traditionally (and I mean going back to the 60's) has been on a Friday night. It ran on a Monday for a period because there wasn't a suitable venue available on Fridays, but for the past couple of years it's been back to its traditional night.

I am not sure Rockhen. I just noticed that Paul Pearson had posted somewhere that Chris was with him next Friday.

I could do with Paul Pearson's telephone number as I have lost a lot of my data, due to my laptop failig me last week. Brand new laptop now, but all my e-mails are gone and I had his number on one of my e-mails.

I don't know him that well but I have heard him play with quite a few bands. He has a website Chris Treebeard related Bands
He has always sounded very good when we have seen him and I have seen him play accordion, keyboards, guitar, bass guitar amongst other things, sometimes two instruments at once!
Mr Rockhen (! he has got to have his own name!) had two great gigs with him at Caistor with his bands Silverwheel and Haze...
SO I am looking forward to hearing him play as a duo next Friday.It should be a really varied night which is great. Interesting fact, unrelated to his musical performance...He often plays without shoes... :-)
Actually Villan, if Chris brings his accordion, will you distract him while I sneak off with it, it is bigger than mine! One can never have enough notes on an accordion :-)

Looking forward to it. I am, however, somewhat concerned about the evening... If it was WWW playing, I'd lend Chris Treebeard some socks...,(we carry extra supplies,) he does often play sockless but I am afraid it may distract the audience with such shocking behaviour in a respectable village like Faldingworth. Unfortunately, on Friday June 1st at Faldingworth Live...(note the plug of the evening, again...) he will have to manage, as Helian Keys don't usually bother bring extra pairs...Do you think the audience will cope with this, Villan? Have feet ever been seen there before?
Maybe if Steve brings his hat we could place it delicately and strategically to shield any delicate eyes?
What? I am talking a load of rubbish? Have I been drinking? Er...well, I am just drinking a cup of tea,does that count..?

Chris is still playing with Treebeard saw them at The Drill Hall Lincoln on Saturday, also plays with Silverwheel and Haze/Worldturtle, a busy very talented guy. Saw him playing with Paul a while back at Sheffield - a brilliant duo !!!

You had "tradition" from Clarty Sough (it means' blocked drains by the way)"passion" from Sheffield twosome Paul Pearson and Chris Treebeard, "melody and subtleness" from Helian Keys and "strummery and songmanship" from Steve Jackson (joined by Easy Bob Reid and Trevor Cunnington for a couple of numbers). All bound together by an appreciate audience, sound by the genial Gwenda and Terry,plus a couple of raffle prizes and the usual sandwiches on offer!

Enjoyed the night and thought it was very varied. It seemed to finish very quickly, which I think is a good sign!
Love the 'blocked drains' name, Clarty Sough! Was interesting to discover that Jim from Clarty Sough was the Folk talk man, himself.
