Just want to let you know there will be a cd coming out produced by Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer called "Old Time Banjo Festival". This is a compilation of many old time style banjo players including me to be released on Rounder Records on June 5th. Wow! What a great looking collection! Top notch players (and not just the big names), good tunes, and some unusual pieces to add spice. ("Mama Tried" on old-time banjo? I'm intrigued....)

Mama Tried - it's one of my favorite cuts on the cd - killer banjo from Bob Smakula.

31 tracks. Amazing. Great pickers and tunes all! Cathy's recording called Banjo Haiku is also one of my favorites. (It probably is on CD now too.)
