From: Tim theTwangler Date: 31 May 07 - 02:35 PM Over here in Great Grimsby we have all been adding our tracks to a Double cd that has been recorded locally to raise money for charity. If you look on your world map Grimsby is just under that peice of Digestive biscuit that got soggy and broke off last year! The CD,s are rumoured to be priced at £5 each available individualy. Allen should be proud of the cd, it sounded great, or rather, they both did. Hope there is a good turn out on Tuesday and hope we can all work on selling the cds. They are well worth buying for the music, AS WELL as the good causes they are helping. Great tracks. Looking forward to finally getting my hands on my own copies of the cd on Tuesday. I think it would be great if a couple of local businesses in, Grimsby and possibly, Lincoln and Scunthorpe would take the CDs on, to offer them for sale, from them. Anyone know of somewhere likely to agree? It is useful if people know they can buy the cds from somewhere rather than having to order by post. |

I didnt actually say that the people from the Tap would be publicity hungry for themselves. But you often get folks who turn up while the press are on hand and bugger orf soon as the cameras disappear seen it before. Was a great fun night. And the singaround went really well too. |

He was raving about the music and he commented on the quality of the production and was asking about the studio set up. It is available at the NCH charity shop, Victoria Street, Grimsby. Also, Caistor Sports and Social Club, (Caistor in N Lincs!) The Daddy's Little Star shop, in Ulceby has them, too. So 140 cds around £700 cash in already and another 30 or so of each still out at the various points of sale and in peoples guitar and handbags. It features several Mudcat members such as Tim the Twangler, Rockhen and myself as well as a number of Mudcat guests Those who are not lucky enough to win it could buy the CD's at £5 each (£10 the pair). All profits are donated to the National Children's Home (Grimsby) and Viking FM's "For the Kids" charity. For each double set sold (as a set) during the weekend, I will donate a further 50p to Mudcat. If anyone is interested in purchasing the CD's, either P.M. me or let me know in this thread DC |
