Who is in the line-up Ray?
I recall the story from when the band was Doonan, Thomas, Burge and Swann, it sparked the comment "you sound like a firm of solicitors" from somebody.
Is the venue a regular one or is it just occasional concerts?

That's s good question Geoff

The gig is being promoted by an old Barnsley friend, Linda Ross and the closest I can get to is as I said Mick Doonan, Bob Thomas and friends and not the full Solicitors which is a VERY professional outfit playing non folkie venues

Mick live in Wakefield and has been roadying for Ben Murray and Rosie Doonan also

If John Burge (who is in fact looking to return to Folk as both you and me know from his appearance at Holmfirth FF) and Nigel Swann do come then it has the makings of a superb night

The Keel (nr Asda as there is another one) has seen promotions by Linda such as Keiran Halpin, and Rob Van Sante and Dick Gaughan by Barnsley Folk club among others

Our club event is Isla St Clair tickets £6.50 date as above

I would like to see events continue at the Keel on probably Friday night but cant be done if no interest!

He lives at Penistone so s/b contactable by phone too, not many Bottomley's in Penistone
