Can anyone tell me the name of this song and the artist any help would be grand ok here is some of the lyrics "give me the beat boy to free my soul I want to get lost in your rock n roll and drift away" "day after day I'm more confused I'm beginning to think I'm wasting time"

I'm not sure R & B isn't really my thing , but i'm taking at stab at the title is Bring It Back Home not to be confused with another song by the same name done by the Animals & the singer may be Al Greene, maybe in the 70's. This comes from a folkie so I hope I'm not steering wrong just trying to help,

Actually, the song is called "Drift Away", but I can't remember the artist! It was a big hit in America in the spring of 1972. Music store sales associates should probably be able to look this up for you.

We used to sing this at camp.
It's called DRIFT AWAY, and it's sung by Dolby Gray.
The words and music though are by Mentor Williams.

One of my favorites. It's Dobie Gray, though. It was later covered in a country version (change words to "I want to get lost in your country soul,...). Can't remenber the country artist, though.

For what it's worth - the Nasville artist who covered this one is Narvel Felts.

I know this was done by at least one country artist who did not change the words to 'country soul' except mabe in the final chorous. It may have been Dan Seals or Ronie Milsat, both of whom have a little r &b in their sound anyway. My memory is not to be relied on so it may have been some one else.
