Some of my Mudcat friends know that the difficulty I have been going through while working on this recording through chronic migraines - but it was worth the labour pains.   The doctor says it should be coming out in about 2 weeks!

Debbie is herself a wonderful musician,and can charm any audience with her lyrical singing and soulful piano, but she does have a special gift with the little ones. On the other hand, even people without children loved her first CD, Up and Over the Moon, so I'm sure this one will be

I need to mention Kathy Reid-Naiman here, too, and thank her for the honour of being on her Merriweather record label. Ken and Kathy are gems. Nobody on earth has shown more patience than these two. They knew how and when to get the best out of me. They share a vision about music for children and family that is I think quite rare and wonderful. It fits me like a glove. Thanks to them both....

Just decided today - the OFFICIAL CD Release Day, Merriweather Records: June 15

CD Release at Chequegnat Festival, Kitchener * June 16 * CD Release at the Barrie Ontario Library: October 19, 20 * CD Release at Pillows and PJ's Concert Series, Toronto: November 10.

Gee that's a lot of releases. More to come. I'll post them on my website when I know the dates.

One more thing - I've dedicated this CD to my grandniece and grandnephew Hannah and Matthew who are just about to turn 4. The twins were born during SARS in Toronto - a looooong and crazy story. Matthew has already undergone several heart surgeries, his first when he was only a couple of days old. Hannah is a daredevil who will try anything, as long as she can do it in a dress. The 2 are very funny and love music and books. Hooray! The CD release in Barrie is for them.

Debbiedarlin',

Sorry it has taken me so long to get in here, again. I have still only had Morgan over once since I received your CD, but we did get to listen to most of it at that time. You should have seen him. He's a natural with rhythm and as soon as the first song started, he was bopping around on my bed, giggling and clapping in time, then moved to the floor where he could dance more easily. What a joy you have wrought! Thank you so much. YOU are simply beautiful as is your CD. I feel so blessed to know you and to be able to share your beautiful music and talents.

Folks, this CD is for the kid in all of us...you don't have to have a youngster for an excuse to buy this. Just do it and buy one for your friends,too. Wonderful,beautiful and a lot of fun as well as poignant and touching. Congratulations, Debbie!
