Subject: Leadfingers/Maryrrf Trip Piccies From: Bill D Date: 10 Jun 07 - 12:00 PM Hey...nice pics! Those Jamestown views were great. I must get there in person sone day. It was so good to see you again, Terry...and Mary...looks like a very successful trip. |
Subject: RE: Leadfingers/Maryrrf Trip Piccies From: Sorcha Date: 10 Jun 07 - 12:12 PM Lovely pics. I've always wanted to go there too. |
Subject: RE: Leadfingers/Maryrrf Trip Piccies From: Severn Date: 10 Jun 07 - 12:42 PM Some great pics. A few of mine even turned out well. Never have gotten to Jamestown myself, though I've been to Assateague Skyline Drive and Harper's Ferry. You had a good tour guide. It was great to have you back over and to see the two of you again. I haven't finished looking at all of them yet, but they're great so far. |
Subject: RE: Leadfingers/Maryrrf Trip Piccies From: katlaughing Date: 10 Jun 07 - 12:46 PM Me, too!Love old historical places. Love the ponies, esp. and seeing a bit of West Virginia where some of my ancestors came from, as well as you, Terry and Mary! |

Subject: RE: Leadfingers/Maryrrf Trip Piccies From: CET Date: 10 Jun 07 - 06:05 PM These brought back a lot of happy memories: the Skyline Drive, seeing Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, Jamestown, Harpers Ferry. It was even better to see pictures of Terry and Mary, whom I hope to see at the Getaway again. I wish I could have been at your gigs. Edmund |

Subject: RE: Leadfingers/Maryrrf Trip Piccies From: Bat Goddess Date: 10 Jun 07 - 08:18 PM Were those Bonaparte's gulls on Assateague? Lovely photos (and I haven't had a chance to look at them all yet). I've wanted to visit that neck of the woods since I read "Misty of Chincoteague". (Gawd, we're talking half a century here.) And Williamsburg, of course. Linn |
Subject: RE: Leadfingers/Maryrrf Trip Piccies From: Maryrrf Date: 10 Jun 07 - 08:43 PM Well there would be space at my place for 'catters who want to explore the beautiful state of Virginia - I'm just outside of Richmond so easy access to both the mountains and the seashore. It was really fun showing Terry around - it had been a long time since I'd been to Jamestown and they have done a great job of fixing it up for the 400th anniversary this year. Chincoteague and Assateague are a treat for folks who like beaches that are more natural and not full of high rises, boardwalks, etc. - I'm going back next weekend (but unfortunately without Leadfingers since he's back in England!) |
Subject: RE: Leadfingers/Maryrrf Trip Piccies From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 10 Jun 07 - 09:03 PM thanks for the pics - I've read about the archaoeology of Jamestown, & have seen a few pics, so it was great to see the site, & also pics of Williamsburg. sandra |

Subject: RE: Leadfingers/Maryrrf Trip Piccies From: GUEST,Bruce Michael Baillie Date: 11 Jun 07 - 01:47 AM Ah Ha! I've been wondering all along if you were the same 'Leadfingers' I met at Cleckheaton Folk Festival garden party 2 years ago! I see that I'm right! |
