Jacqui is providing a chicken and apricots main course. There will be wine and beer. Lots of beer left from the last circle. There are also some soft drinks left but are all diet.

When has there been apricot food? Tom loathes apricots (and peaches).

Yeah, Tom's got all sorts of, uh, "portals" for mainlining antibiotics. Might work for Laphroaig, but it would bypass the tastebuds, and it's the flavor he likes, not the fact that it's booze.

Lefthanded guitar, drinking is purely optional. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I haven't noticed anyone pestering people to do something they don't want to do, except sing.

If I see an apricot, I'm probably going to do some ballistic testing on it. The sunny orange ought to be lovely on the mint-green walls. Seriously, I don't hate apricots, even if I'll try my best to avoid eating one, and I won't throw any. They're just weird in chicken, but it's probably some English style haute quisine.

Sorry folks. Major Conflict.

The Triennial China Sea Festival is on the 30th of June. Charlie has refreshed the thread.
The Song Circle will be moved to July 1st.
Note: I am only about 45 minutes from Grey, ME. If anyone wants to head back to my place on Saturday night instead of camping, there will be beds in South Portland.

I think that Linn, Tom, Jeri and Tami have all tried the chicken dish I'm doing for that day. We all had it a few weeks ago at another gathering that we all went to. I snagged the recipe from the cook and tried it out on Kendall, who liked it. Apricots are in it but can be left on the side of the plate. I'll not put too many in.

I like apricots (and peaches) -- it's one of the few things Tom and I disagree on.

Hmmm...July 1st is a Sunday. Hope it starts early and we won't need a bed. Plus we just got an invitation to a big Irish shindig in Dover on the 30th.

A full weekend of partying...but at least that Monday isn't crazy get-the-book-to-the-printer deadline day.

If it's July 1st we won't need a bed.

I meant I'll be there for David Jones.........( got a bit confused with all these dates and cancellations but am hanging on like grim death to the concept that there will be a concert on July 14 at Sinsull's) -- we will bring a Salad Nicoise (no curry in the summer - weather is all wrong for it......). Looking forward to it.........I'll definitely be there -- Tom has committed to make the food but not to actually attend --- I think he enjoys the opportunity of a quiet evening without me there saying ...Tom, I could murder a cup of tea, or may I have a refill on my wine......or ...... etc etc etc.

Linn - good point! But since, two years ago, our resident student requested curry for his goodbye dinner and it was - literally - the hottest day of the year, Tom has shown a marked reluctance for cooking curry in the summer!! I think he sweated off about 10 lbs -- not such a bad thing.......
