Turns out the world isn't so bad after all. So says Secretary of State Condoleeeza Rice, who emphasized on Friday that things were terrible before Bush came along. "Six years ago... it wasn't a very nice world," she told the Associated Press. Iraq was a mess, Iran was defying the world, North Korea was defying the world, Isreal and the Palestinians had given up on peace. "That was the world. A worse world? I think so."

Hmmmmm??? I'll have whatever Condi is smokin', thank you...

Six years ago - June 2001.

Seems to me those days pre-September 11th were pretty good ones. No Level Yellow or Orange or Red Alerts. Of course Condi wasn't paying attention to the Intelligence Reports. Guess she was distracted by the mess in Iraq.

Now that Iraq ia all straightened out and Iran and North Korea are no longer defiant, now that the Israelis and Palestinians are so close to a peace agreement, must be time to turn our attention to some other dangerously confused country - who's for bombing Canada and Cuba?

P.D. Ouspensky wrote a book called "In Search of the Miraculous". This book is basically about a Russian Guru "G.I. Gurdjieff". I read this particular book about 30 years ago. But one of the things that he preached/taught was that there was a necessity to have a balance ( scale if you wish). On one side "Being" and on the other "Knowledge".

"Being" meaning how we communicate,have fun, get pissed with friends,our social aspects. "Knowledge" referring to all the learning that one does and in some cases (Like maybe Condoliza.)even more than the "normal" Joe.

Gurdjieff stressed that to be whole as a person one must have a balance of the two. If the scale is tipped to much on the right or to much on the left than harmony is displaced.
In Cond.... case, she is very well educated (knowledge) but doesn't have a fu..........ing clue (being)what is happening out side of her own head space.

Actually, the title on this thread appears to be quite apt, as Ms Rice is Herr Bush's authority on "the appropriate pee".
