No, it doesn't mean that. I'm not particularly in favor of it. I'm not 100% opposed to it either. I simply observe that it is there, has been there since Roman times (and probably long before that), and it's there because people have a big emptiness inside them that they don't know how to till. I feel sad that a great many people are so unfullfilled, lonely, and lost. I feel sad that others make money off their loneliness. I feel sad that people are exploited in the process, and that their dreams are cheapened.

Everyone wants love and perfection, but they don't know how to find it or how to make it real.

A dog, Metchosin, is a good companion...but this search is about far more etherial and weighty matters than mere companionship. This is the search for ultimate perfection at every level, not just a reasonable level of emotional comfort. It is the inner urge to unite the masculine and feminine principles into a single seamless unity, and it drives both men and women to sometimes ridiculous extremes. I wrote to Joe Offer about one of these yesterday, and he took the time to respond--I imagine he's getting a lot of this work now. There was a thread about this before that I went looking for since the Help forum is now kaput, but it that thread had disappeared as "unnecessary."

Joe and the Clones check the messages since they last visited and spot these easily. They are then deleted. As this thread will also probably be deleted.

Filters block a lot of things, clones clean up as fast as they can on what stuff slips through.

The Internet is now at a point that well over 85% of ALL traffic is spam. Same days (when a spam-storm hits) it can and has gone as high as 97 percent. Under those conditions, for every three posts on the mudcat 97 spam messages are attempting to be posted.

The clones don't always see them Ms Lemon. What I've done is PM Joe O (you could go to other clones too) & make him aware of the spam, what thread it's, where it is in it & "presto" it's been banished.

Actually, Ms Lemon, guys are searching for something, but they know not what it is. It's some kind of ideal of perfection, complete fullfillment, ultimate Love and completion, total acceptance, but it remains elusive. It is probably not even of this world, ultimately. That's my guess. Being rather visually oriented, they hope to find it in each succeeding erotic photo, but they never do find it. Thus the search goes on. It is this principle that has made pornography (and mass marketing in general) a very profitable business. Women have the same problem, but it manifests a bit differently, that's all. They tend to pursue other forms of the same elusive ideal.

That's why Buddha advised a path that would eliminate desire. He said that suffering arises out of desire. It's an intriguing viewpoint, but not one that interests most people, because they can't imagine transcending desire. I can imagine it, but I'm not sure if it's the way I would wish to go or not. There may be a better way than what Buddha recommended.

What if one could harness desire, but keep it totally pure in intent? I should think that could produce very good results.

The clones deal with them as they turn up - if you are lucky, you get to see only a very few of them in the few minutes that they survive.

I don't think what happened on your thread was an attack on you personally.

What these spammers do can get onto anything.

I'm sure the "elves" will be aware and do what they can to reduce these intrusions.

You are right to not follow links from such things (your details might get onto a spammers list and you could end up with even more of this junkre you know that)
