Subject: Tech: Sound clips in MusiTrad site From: Anglo Date: 19 Jun 07 - 07:51 PM Does anyone else have problems with the Real Audio soundclips on the Musical Traditions website? My problem is likely to be that I'm on a Mac (Safari browser), but every time I try to play one I get the message that my Real Audio can't play it, and that it will search for software. Then it reports that there is no software that can play it. Now this is apparently a Real Audio clip, and since nobody seems to have complaints there, others must be able to play them. I have what's as far as I know the latest version of Real Player (the free version), so what's my problem here. I can listen to Real Audio clips on Amazon, or wherever. Or I can listen to QuickTime clips. Thanks for any help. |

Subject: RE: Tech: Sound clips in MusiTrad site From: Anglo Date: 19 Jun 07 - 09:13 PM Hi Tim, Thanks for the reply. Well, that's encouraging that you can get it. What I have is RealOne Player v. 9.0. Have I got the right thing? As I said, on their site they have a bells & whistles one you can purchase, and then the free player which I think I have the latest version of. I may not. I'm trying to check but the site doesn't recognize my password and _says_ it's emailing me a reset password link, but I haven't seen it. Like I said, it's reassuring that it _does_ work. I'll try again later. Cheers, John |

Inspired by you, I managed to findd the real one (so to speak), and now it works. I have to go back and listen to all the sound clips of all the reviews I hadn't been able to listen to before! Wonderful. |
