Don't know if any of you 'catters who reside in the South Yorkshire Area have been to Wombwell Folk Club yet but I personally would recommend it.

Si and Ali have been running the club since the early part of this year and they deserve the suppport of any local folky fans. I had a great night last night and I'd like to say thanks to Si and Ali for inviting me to perform and also a big big thanks to the floor singers and everyone else (floor listeners I guess you'd call 'em) who came along to make it a great night.

Special thanks to Zoe and Dave, Mick and Carol, Pete and Michelle and everyone else whose names I didn't get. It was a really nice, intimate gig.

The club is held every 3rd Wednesday (no club in August) with a guest artist every three months. The other nights are singers' nights although there is a singaround before the guest artist.

It costs a quid to get in and there is the customary raffle.

Get along to Wombwell Catholic Club, Park Street, Wombwell, Barnsley, S73 0HQ and lend your support. I shall be going along to the next singers' night.
