Subject: Gotan Project's use of spoken word From: GUEST,Uncleboko Date: 22 Jun 07 - 05:15 PM This superb band, about which much of course, cover the tango end of Argentine Folklore music - a mere snippet really. One of the songs they perform in their set, which is on their 1st CD has this little piece of spoken word which is not on the CD: After knocking on door: Her.........¿Se puede? Him.........¿Qué desea? Her..........Quiero conocer Argentina por dentro. Him..........Adelante! ......which is very effective indeed. Was it only the Albions in folk circles who used spoken word to preface songs? |
