The first verse that jstarwolf quoted above is indeed from JUGBAND SONG by David Bromberg. (See kat's link above.)

There are several blues songs that contain the verse about "coffee ... tea ... jailhouse key" or something very similar. Henry Thomas' song DON'T EASE ME IN, which was covered by The Grateful Dead. There is more information at this Grateful Dead fan site.

Leadbelly's song MIDNIGHT SPECIAL contains this verse:

"I don' believe that Rosie loves me", well tell me why
She ain't been to see me, since las' July

John Lennon's song ANGELA (about Angela Davis?) contains this chorus:
