On Monday our venue, being in the basement of a pub, was under a couple of feet of water but for anyone wanting to come to our next event, the room is now drying nicely, the flood barrier is in place and even though there is no carpet, we are OK to go ahead!

Now this brings back memories! When I was in the Royal Navy Hydrographic Branch serving on board HMS Woodlark. A load of us travelled from Barry Island to Lambley for a weekend at the Woodlark.

This would have been in and around 1980. However I cant remember there being a folk club else I would have took me guitar.

That said, we had such a good weekend that four of us hired a car and did it all over again a couple of weeks later.

Those were the days.

It was pretty bloody dank down there, even before the rains of Ranjipur started. I'd like to go, but I think maybe we should be thinking of having one of the ground floor rooms as a stand by.

We'd love to have it going on in one of the ground floor rooms but sadly we'd be getting in the way of the weekly sticky 13 game, heaven forbid!

"the weekly sticky 13 game"

The mind boggles at what, precisely, this game is! No doubt we'll be enlightened (or mortified) tonight! See y'all.
