Subject: Breatnaigh Abu done by - Marie Breatnach From: katlaughing Date: 09 Jul 07 - 12:49 PM Just heard Marie Breatnach playing "Breatnaigh Abu" on Hober Radio and was wondering if any one knows which of her CDs might be all fiddle without singing? I took a quick look at her website and wasn't sure by the names of the cuts whether they are all instrumental and/or singing. I don't mind her singing, at all, but the fiddle was incredible and I would love a whole CD of her playing. The cut on Hober was from "Women of the World Celtic." Thanks, kat |

Her 'Breatnaigh Abu!' comes from her CD Angels Candles (1993), her first solo recording which appears to have just two songs on it out of fourteen tracks. From The Voyage of Bran CD (1995) there are twelve tracks of which two are vocals. All tracks on both CDs are original Breatnach. Can't say for anything later. |
