I play this great tune, I know it only as The Convenience (reel). I don't know where it came from, can anyone help?

I know it has the alternative titles of The Knock on the Door and McDonagh's, other that unless you want the music for it I can't be of much help. Have you tried Bruce Olson's site.. He's a wiz at tracking down the roots of tunes/songs etc... I don't have his URL to hand but you can find a link to him here

If it's the same tune, one of the boys from Shegui learned it from someone ( I haven't got the details to hand ) in the lavatory at a gig, didn't know the right name for it and played and ultimately recorded it under the title 'The Convenience'. If you want me to look out the album cover I will gladly do so. Jonathan.
