I seem to remember the river Avon runs quite close to the site and that the area is quite flat.

Anyone local able to help?

Mick Peat reported on Folkwaves tonight that it was all OK. You shoud be able to 'listen again' from tomorrow.

The floods seem to be either to the east or further south ! Warwick looks to be OK

I spoke to an organiser tonight who said that the site has drained well and should be fine for the weekend. Provided it doesn't rain too much more beforehand.

Warwick festival will go ahead as planned.
There may be a few problems with a damp site but plans are already in place to deal with the damp ground and the problems it could cause. These plans will develop over the next few days and all you lovely festival goers have to do is to turn up and enjoy the festival, and bear with us if there are restrictions on car movements and the like.
Please if you are camping do not try to come before Friday unless you already have been told to do so because of stewarding duties or other duties relating to the festival organization.
I will hopefully see all of you sometime over the weekend, and please help us to make it another great Warwick Festival.

Yes you will muppitz.
I am going to Warwick in the morning to start getting everything ready for the stewards desk to open friday morning. All systems go, stewards come as book in as usual.
Please, everybody else take note of the stewards instructions re camping etc.They have a job to do and this year because of the conditions things may be a little different to usual. Please bear with us but above all do come and enjoy the festival.
