I can feel with you (from own experience). You know the response at once, you are typing at maximum speed, you find the URL of the link (on the other window) without any delay, you push 'submit', you open the file to look at the time and, .........what a disappointment: there is a response delay of four minutes, just not good enough to break the record, even if it is your own record.

You read my mind, Wolfgang. That four-minute response time really killed me. For a response with a clickable link, my record is three minutes. I've been shooting for two, and I thought I had a chance on this one. Darn.

I know, Joe, last time when I thought I had a chance to break the record I had a pulse of 180.
However, if I wasn't blind you added the second one of those links at a later time using your special access key. Theoretically you have the possibility to write 'Hi Mikael', submit, and then add the link without changing the initial time. But I'm completely confident you would never even consider doing that. As they might say in England to stop any thoughts of that:
It is not done.

I still guess that Joe gets his fast response times by using his edit button, but not to add a second link, no, he just changes the time of his postings ;-)

No, sir, Andreas. My fast responses actually are that fast. I do use the edit button to fix my goofs or add to a previous message when I come up with additional information, but the button doesn't allow me to change the posting time. My three-minute record of a response with link was honestly wrought. When I hit two minutes, you can be sure that it will be an honest two minutes.
Harumpf! I'm a little disappointed that both you and Wolfgang would doubt my integrity.
Face it, buddy, I'm just good at it.

Actually, Andreas, I hadn't been racing the clock until somebody pointed out my three-minute record. However, when there's a simple request, I like to see to it that the request is handled quickly, before the flamers jump in and accuse the requester of being stupid for not knowing the workings of Mudcat. As I've said in other threads, I really hate it when the "regulars" are nasty to Mudcat visitors.
