Subject: RE: What ever happened to Stuart Marson From: GUEST,Christopher Date: 18 Dec 17 - 04:20 AM Stuart is very fit and well, happily in retirement from teaching, and still making his lovely haunting music. Have you heard his WW1 song 'Remembered'? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFV8GXFzJaI Stuart and I were friends at Durham University in the late 1960s, often played (occasionally together) at the Chaplaincy Folk Club of blessed memory, and were aspiring song-writers. He always had a strong, romantic tinge to his songs, subtle guitar tunings and a relaxed style I loved (and envied). A really nice man into the bargain. |
Subject: What ever happened to Stuart Marson From: Baggins 360 Date: 28 Jul 07 - 12:26 PM Does anyone know what happened to Stuart Marson? He of "Over the Lancashire Hills" and "Close To The Wind" fame. I love his songs well those I've heard (I wouldn't mind a comprehensive Song list iFanyone has one) and am curious as to what happened to him. |
