Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The friendly man who sells Good Humor From: GUEST Date: 19 Jul 22 - 10:30 AM I think the above comment with fresh whole milk and real milk chocolate for that creamy tasting real good humor flavor is the way to end it! I'm 74 almost 75 and I'm also from New Jersey and that's the way I remember the song! |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The friendly man who sells Good Humor From: GUEST,Mark Date: 25 Apr 19 - 03:40 AM Am I alone in immediately thinking of Tom Lehrer's dope peddler song when I saw the thread title? (For all I know the GUEST who resurrected the thread may be linking to dope peddlers, I haven't clicked (and won't click) the link.) |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The friendly man who sells Good Humor From: GUEST Date: 08 Apr 18 - 07:29 PM This week I walked to the counter at a drug store. I had a Good Humor popsicle in one hand a money in the other. I asked the cashier if she knew the song. She didn't know they had one. Right in front of her and her customers I sang the first 2 lines. They were the only ones I remembers. I'm 75 now but when I was a kid I used to ride on the truck in the streets around my house in New Jersey. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The friendly man who sells Good Humor From: GUEST,saulgoldie Date: 01 Nov 17 - 09:06 AM I sent an inquiry through the inquiry resource on the Good Humor website. I also discovered some lyrics other ones than above. (Different tune, too, probly.) And somewhere in there are some very racist lyrics and catch phrases. Also, there is apparently a movie. Wow! Folklore! It sure are instresting! Saul |
