There is a slight chance I will get there...if for no other reasons than to meet some second cousins who will be there...and also to go to Iowa to go some family history..will anyone be going? And does anyone know any cheap places to stay near Clermont Iowa..northeast part of state. Even a Super8 nearby was $75 a night which is shocking. mg

Northeast Iowa sounds great, mg. Have you ever seen Backbone State Park?

I assume you've been to Clerontia.org. This is the first town I've ever encountered where people fix bowling pins.

Oh not me...I have never been to Iowa..rode the Greyhound through the Midwest though and liked it. I actually wil probably not make it to fest this year but hopefully in the future...too many house repairs...mg
