Hi there y'all. I met some of you at Ormstown, and learned that a significant proportion of Mudcatters are in the UK. I'm returning in November for my 2nd tour there, and am looking for suggestions of listening venues that pay. I write/sing/play blues, folk, bluegrass, country, jazz. Much of my own, some covers of old blues, a few select 60's pop tunes (down in the boondocks, whiter shade of pale, all fingerpicked.) I don't do much trad material anymore, though I did Wild Mountain Thyme at some of the shows the last time around. Any help would be appreciated. Also planning to return next May/June, so ideas for fests would be welcome too. Carry on then...

For a great list of venues there is a web site/mag run by colin matthews called Folk Orbit. It covers mostly the N.West of England but is getting more and more info every issue for the whole of the UK. Just search folk orbit and up it comes.
