Subject: Thunder over Louisville From: tucker Date: 17 Apr 99 - 11:43 PM I am in Louisville today and I just want to tell the wonderful folks of Louisville that I watched their pre-Derby "Day's of Thunder". The most impressive fire works I have ever seen. Nothing to do with music and not meaning to take much space, just giving credit to really great people. |

Subject: RE: Thunder over Louisville From: catspaw49 Date: 18 Apr 99 - 12:09 AM When I read the title I thought maybe the horses had pre-Derby flatulence.............. Tuck, my Buckeye Bud, it is very unusual for someone to be able to make a simple statement like you did around this place and expect it to pass into history unposted. I'm probably wrong and perhaps folks will read this post and say, "Let's screw that wiseass catspaw and not post a thing." That said, what is (or was) likely is a series of posts about other great fireworks displays, fireworks of our youth, dangers of fireworks, someone hating the noise, patriotic fireworks, unique fireworks, exploding toilets, best firework venues, worst fireworks displays, legal issues of fireworks, lighting flatulence, lighting the dog's flatulence, tree shaped fireworks, damage caused by fireworks to trees.......that's Mudcat!!! Ya' gotta' love it!!!! catspaw |

Subject: RE: Thunder over Louisville From: katlaughing Date: 19 Apr 99 - 12:54 AM Hey, I emailed my son a copy of this thread, since he lives across the river from Louisville and NEVER misses this show. He said they road their bikes to the river, layered their upper clothing, but just jeans with no blankets or anything on the bottom. It was about 40 degree but windy and they froze their thin-blooded, transplanted southern asses off, BUT love the show, as always! kat |

Subject: RE: Thunder over Louisville From: Tucker Date: 19 Apr 99 - 05:26 AM Yeah the locals tell me that the cold and damp always seems to come with "Thunder". This year brought feisty winds to further dampen things up but........I won't miss next year. |
