The monthly chantey sing at the Royal Mile Pub in Wheaton, Maryland got notiiced by The Washington Post this weekend.

Charlie-

The review might have been wuss. The reviewer could have focused on the style of suitcoats or miniskirts you sing in. But any publicity is probably better than being ignored or considered a nuisance.

At least it was fairly positive, even if it did hammer on about the stereotypes a bit much!
Only wish a major newspaper over hear would do something similar for us!

Actually I thought it was a very well done article. It is highly visible in the paper -- the article and cover photo take up most of the front page of the Sunday Source section, with a long follow-up and several sidebars inside.

I think the facial hair descriptions were intended to give an idea of the "saltiness" of the evening. Today's reporting tends to the cute, and she didn't do badly.

We've been waiting for this article to come out -- the reporter and cameraman were sitting next to our (goateed, pony-tailed) son that evening and he had a nice chat with them.
