My son is 9 today. He wants to go to the pool, jump off the diving board and touch bottom at 2:22 PM (the time of his birth). I plan on leaving work early so I can go with him.

It might have been, but then he couldn't have heard me counting down. I stood by the side of the pool, watch in hand, doing the 10, 9, 8, etc. At zero he dove in, touched bottom, and shot back up. It was a great good time. I'm not sure where he came up witht he idea, I didn't think to ask. It was a hot sultry day here so being at the pool was really wonderful.

Later in the day he said "It's good to be the birthday boy."
