Subject: Any 'Catters in New Mexico USA From: Pete M Date: 18 Apr 99 - 08:53 PM My eldest lad has been offered a position doing geophysical field work over the summer in Socorro New Mexico. If there are any 'Catters living near there I would appreciate it if you would contact me directly via a personal message or email. Iain plays the fiddle for Scottish dancing so any info on any clubs etc would be great Thanks Pete M |

Subject: RE: Any 'Catters in New Mexico USA From: katlaughing Date: 19 Apr 99 - 12:59 AM Pete: you better tell him to make the trip up for MUDSTOCK 99, or failing that, at least to Western Colorado to Bet's or here to Wyoming at our house! New Mexico has some great info sites on the net, plus it is one place where we may end of moving this summer. I'll keep in touch. kat |

Subject: RE: Any 'Catters in New Mexico USA From: Joe Offer Date: 19 Apr 99 - 02:03 AM I know of one Mudcatteer in Española, but that's near Los Alamos and a long way from Socorro. Maybe he'll surface and identify himself and give you some leads. I heard some great Native American and Mexican music in Santa Fe. Bill and Bonnie Hearne have a regular gig in a classic old hotel in the center of Santa Fe - La Fonda, I think it is. Bill and Bonnie do a nice mix of Texas swing and folk and other stuff. Why dontcha tell him to enjoy some of the local music, Pete? Click here and search the page for NM (New Mexico) - you'll find there are several folk music organizations in New Mexico. this one looked most promising: FolkMADS (click here)-Joe Offer- |
