Hi
Anyone recommend a MP3 recorder? Its for recording tunes and putting them onto computer / e-mailing / uploading / sharing as MP3 files.

You should be able to do a search here at Mudcat for the previous discussions. I've read several of them. Good luck!

I did a search under Digital Voice Recorder and mp3 recorders, but little results or quite dated and as technology moves quick I'm looking recent views.

We have one of these and have found it great for club recordings, practice, etc.. also can be used as a 4 track recorder. - you should be able to get one for under £200 - you can also get a stereo adapter for i-pods and many MP3 players can record on either internal and external mics at WAV quality.

Loads out there. google it :)

I have the Zoom H4 as well and it offers a lot of capability for the money. And it's extremely portable so it can go where you go and you don't have to go to it as you would if it were a larger console recorder board. Offers both WAV and MP3 recording modes (with MP3 being the better choice for conserving memory and getting more on it without having to do a download to or through a computer (or having to change out the memory card).

The info on the Zoom seems great! Do a search on the Roland R09 or R-09 That's the one I have. It's great as well.

The Roland is also likely to be called 'Edirol' - not sire where the 'Edi' comes from but I can guess the 'rol'. Mines great as I guess I must have mentioned in the other thread.
