Just got an ad card from these guys, with a "price" for phone and DSL of $39.90. The rep claimed my actual bill would be about $44.00; that's still easily the best price I've found for getting us upgraded from dial-up here. Then the rep threw me a curveball; he said they would need a credit check, and asked for my S.S.number. I had no idea that a Social Security number was necessary to run a credit check, so I backed off and called the Better Business Bureau. The BBB did say that asking for the number to do a check was appropriate. I asked if they had anything on Cavalier, and they don't happen to have any current report. So, anyhoo; do any of you have experience with Cavalier? Any reason I shouldn't go for it?   Thanks, Dean.

Some complaints here. Like press releases, complaints should be taken with a grain of salt.
