It has a very strong line up of artists for concerts and workshops etc and also, equally important in my opinion, a very strong 'fringe'. So there's lots of singarounds and musician sessions in the pubs etc ( I've always found The Manor, opposite The Civic centre, to be a brilliant venue for these, but there are other great venues as well) Just a quick question: Are camping-only tickets available again this year and do you have to pick them up first at the Festival Office or can you pay at the campsite when you arrive? Just because I was in Oz didn't mean that I couldn't keep in touch with the 'Cat and the goings on back 'ome........ On my way back now, as you may have gathered - currently at Changi Airport, Singapore, with a 5 hour layover (?! behave!)before being Heathrow bound. I'll contact you again properly when I get back, complete with scarey photo!. Back to topic, OK Dunc, you've twisted my arm - I've buy you a pint or three and then roll you in the direction of home! We met some great people in the Black Horse and Black Swan at Whitby and they easily persuaded us. We'll probably buy a season ticket and not use it as usual (it's a tradition we like to uphold!) but I will insist on seeing the Karine Polwart Trio and all the Saturday concerts.
